Privacy Policy

1. General Provisions

1.1. RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION “RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY BIBLE CHURCH “PRYMYRENIA” OF EVANGELICAL CHRISTIANS-BAPTISTS UMAN” (hereinafter referred to as the “Church”), which is the Owner and Controller of personal data, within the meaning of the Law of Ukraine “On the Protection of Personal Data”, carries out religious activities, including charitable activities in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Charitable Activities and Charitable Organizations” by providing charitable assistance in the areas of activity defined in the Charter of the Church and in accordance with the Charity Program and Charity Projects implemented by the Church, at the expense of funds and property received from legal entities and individuals (hereinafter referred to as “Benefactors”, “Visitors” depending on the context) in the form of voluntary donations, including through public fundraising on the Church website https://reconciliationbiblechurch.org/ (hereinafter referred to as the “Site”).

1.2. When any individual visits the Site, the Church receives certain information about them. This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) applies when an individual:

  • visits our site;
  • registers on our site to receive charitable assistance;
  • makes a voluntary donation;
  • provides the Church with their personal data in another way for communication purposes.

1.3. This Policy defines the types of information and personal data that the Church receives from Visitors to the Church's site, the procedure for their collection, processing and use. Information and personal data are collected, processed and used in strict accordance with the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine.

1.4. The Church reserves the right to make changes to the Policy at any time and for any reason, without additional notification to Visitors of the relevant changes.

1.5. Providing/posting information on the Site constitutes the Visitor's agreement to the contents of this Policy and means that the Visitor grants his/her permission for the Church to collect, use and disclose/distribute personally identifiable information in accordance with this Policy.

2. Types of Information that the Church May Receive

2.1. The Church collects information relating to the Visitor only if he/she has voluntarily provided the relevant information or has expressly consented to its provision and/or use. The information that the Church collects includes:

Personally Identifiable Information

We may collect personally identifiable information about you (referred to as "Personal Data") when you choose to interact with the Church and provide such information by providing feedback or completing specific contact or registration forms on the Site, or otherwise provide such information through the Site, including by sending inquiries, making charitable contributions through the Site, etc. Personal data includes, among other things, information about your name, telephone number, residential address, email address, your document details, and other similar information.

Secondary (Technical) Data

When you visit the Site, certain data is automatically recorded on the Church's servers for system administration, as well as for statistical or backup purposes using a number of technologies, including, but not limited to, cookies, tags, IP address tracking/URL tracking, and other tools. The recorded information may include the name of your Internet service provider, in some cases your IP address, your browser software version, the operating system of the computer from which you visited the Site, the addresses of websites you visit simultaneously with our Site and, if possible, your search parameters that led you to the Site, date/time stamps, number of clicks, advertisements viewed, and so on. You can block or disable cookies on your computer, which will limit the collection of Secondary Data through the use of cookies, but in this case you will not be able to use certain functional features of the Site and your user experience may be negatively affected.

Payment Information

We do not directly collect information about your payment methods, such as bank cards, etc. If you wish to make a charitable contribution through the Site, you will be redirected to the website of a third party - a payment operator, through which such payment can be made. Your payment details will not be provided to the Church, but to such payment operator. Please note that your data will be processed by such third party in accordance with its privacy policy or other agreement concluded with you. We are not a party to your relationship with third parties, such as payment system operators, etc.

Personal Data of Children

We do not wish to collect information about visitors who have not reached the age of 18. If the parents or other legal representatives of a child discover that a child has provided certain information to the Site and believe that such data should be destroyed, upon their request We will take measures to delete such information upon their request.

3. Use of Information We Receive

3.1. Visitor Personal Information and other information you provide to Us is used by the Church only for the purpose for which You provide it to Us.

3.2. We will use the information provided by you to support and organize feedback with you, to send you correspondence, messages, information, to maintain Our databases, including the database of contacts, visitors, benefactors, etc., to conduct statistical, sociological and other research, to form contracts and other documents that are necessary for the registration of Our relations with you, to form reports provided for by applicable law, as well as to prevent violations of confidentiality, legal norms or terms of contracts.

3.3. We do not sell information to third parties.

3.4. Any information received from Visitors may be transferred to third parties only in cases provided for by applicable Ukrainian legislation.

4. Data Security

4.1. The Church undertakes to store the information and data provided by you securely, and to take all precautions to protect information from loss, misuse or unauthorized changes. However, no method of transmitting information over the Internet or mobile communications, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Accordingly, despite Our efforts, We cannot guarantee or ensure the security of any information You transmit to Us through Our Site.

4.2. You acknowledge that You understand the risks described above, in particular, that the information You provide may be lost or obtained by third parties, and that You will personally and independently bear all risks associated with this.

5. Dissemination of Information We Receive to Third Parties

5.1. We may transfer the information You provide to third parties only to the extent objectively necessary to achieve the purpose described above, or to protect the security or integrity of Our Site, to apply precautionary measures against liability, or to facilitate legal proceedings or requests from other government authorities; or in cases where, in Our opinion, it is necessary to provide such information to prevent physical harm or financial loss, or in connection with an investigation into suspected or actual illegal activity.

6. Your Requests Regarding Data Processing

6.1. The Church confirms that you have the right to access your personal data, and will be guided by your requests, in cases where this is necessary. You have the following rights:

  • You may request access to, correction, update or deletion of your personal data collected when using the Site.
  • You may request additional information regarding the purposes of processing your personal data; the types of personal data processed; the places of primary collection of personal data; the subjects to whom the Church provides access to personal data; and the period for which the Church retains personal data.
  • You may object to the processing of your personal data, request that the Church restrict the processing of your personal data, or request the portability of your personal data.
  • In cases where the Church collects and processes your personal data on the basis of your informed consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. However, the withdrawal of your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing of personal data carried out by the Church prior to your withdrawal of consent, nor will it affect the processing of your personal data carried out on the basis of lawful grounds for processing personal data other than informed consent.
  • Upon your request and if technically feasible and there are legal grounds for this, the Church will provide you with a copy of your personal data or transfer it directly to another controller (controller). You have the right to lodge a complaint regarding the collection and use of your personal data with a data protection supervisory authority.

To submit a request, please send an email to umanrecochurch@gmail.com with the subject line "Request for personal data" and provide the Church with full information regarding your request, including your contact information and any other details you consider relevant. The request shall include:

  1. the surname, first name and patronymic, place of residence (place of stay) and details of the document identifying the natural person submitting the request (for a natural person – the applicant);
  2. the surname, first name and patronymic, as well as other information allowing the identification of the natural person in respect of whom the request is made;
  3. information about the personal data base in respect of which the request is submitted, or information about the controller or manager of the personal data;
  4. a list of the personal data requested;
  5. the purpose and/or legal basis for the request.

The Church will respond to a request for access within 30 days of receipt of such request for personal data held by the Church, or if the Church is unable to provide such data within the specified time frame, the Church will notify you thereof and explain the reason for the delay.

You may also have other rights provided for by applicable law.

Identity Verification Requirement

The Church is required by law to verify that any request submitted has been sent by a person with the legal right to access the data. Therefore, before providing any information in response to a request from a data subject for access to such data, the Church may ask you to provide additional information that may confirm your identity and legal authority.

7. Privacy Issues

7.1. You have the right to report privacy-related complaints to the national supervisory authority for personal data protection. In Ukraine, this is the Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights, who can be contacted via the email address hotline@ombudsman.gov.ua. If you have any questions about this Policy or if you receive any unsolicited email sent by the Church or purporting to be sent from the Church, please contact the Church directly at umanrecochurch@gmail.com.
